Ground Control is a crazy platformer where you have to help Major Tom reach his destination.

Made by David Freund for the GMTK Game Jam 2020.

The game is best played at full screen.

Right, left, run and jump are the only 4 controls you'll have.

Easy right? well... it's not as simple as it sounds.

This was very cool and challenging, it took me a few levels to work out what was happening lol. Music is gorgeous too!

Very challenging!

My apologize, I told you that I was going to try your game few days ago, but there it is ! :D

What a nice word, that was fun. :D

I just saw something about the last level, I don't know if I'm the only one who got this bug :

When you play in the tiny web screen, the spikes seems to be at a normal speed but then I tried to play in fullscreen (to have a better view of the controls) and then I realized that it was impossible to be faster than the spikes.

Without this bug, this was challenging but still fun.

Anyway, good job to you :D

(Fun fact : When I read the game description, I was thinking that Major Tom was a reference to the MGS's Major Tom, then I realized that it wasn't . :D)

(PS : Sorry for my poor English if there is any mistake, French guy here ! :D )

Lovely Ziggy reference :)

I found it daunting as I had to check constantly the control scheme.  Keep the good work and try to read about "coyote jump" for platforms, I think it would greatly improve it

Ha ha (glad you like the Ziggy reference).

Yeah I can see how that would be daunting..

I am familiar with the "coyote time" concept and you are right. I did wanted to implement it in the game but just couldn't find the time to do so. It's my first game jam and the first time I created a platformer :)

Thanks a lot for the feedback!

it was an awesome first jam, keep the good work.

Love it! very fun and challenging. this game is remarkably similar to the game i made...

Thanks! I'm glad you liked it :) I'll go and check out your game as well.
